The Chinese technology giant reported revenue of 454 billion yuan or $64.23 billion, according to the exchange rate on the company’s earnings release.
That represents 13.1% year-on-year rise and the slowest first half revenue growth since the first six months of 2013.
Meanwhile, Huawei is also awaiting a decision, expected to be delivered on Tuesday, by the U.K. government on whether they will be allowed to participate in the country’s 5G networks.
The UK’s mobile providers are being banned from buying new Huawei 5G equipment after 31 December, and they must also remove all the Chinese firm’s 5G kit from their networks by 2027.
Digital Secretary Oliver Dowden told the House of Commons of the decision.

此前虎嗅在分析美国 5G 为什么掉队时，曾提到今年 2 月初，英国首相和美国总统有过这样的对话：
美国总统特朗普在电话上，知道英国首相约翰逊将会准许华为在英国兴建 5G 基建后，感到十分失望。即便约翰逊多番解释，但特朗普仍然当场气得怒摔电话。本来他们两人在 2020 年 3 月还有一次会面，但特朗普却一怒之下把约会取消了。
3 个月后，有英国媒体报道，英国或可能迫于压力，考虑在 2023 年前把华为设备从英国的 5G 网络中逐步淘汰。
早前，英国在美国施压之下，已经把华为在英国的 5G 网络份额，限制在 35% 之下。但据英国《金融时报》报道，英国确认将会在把目前 5G 以及光纤宽频网络中的华为设备，在 2027 年之前陆续移除。

而中英关系受损，最终损害的还是英国自身的利益。单从经济账来算，除了替换华为可能产生的20亿英镑成本，英国国内还有分析人士担心，一旦两国贸易关系趋冷，英国国内生产总值可能进一步下降，而通胀压力则进一步上升。毕竟中国是英国在欧盟以外的第二大贸易伙伴；而英国的教育和旅游等领域，与中国直接相关的就业岗位就超过10万个。在英国经济迟迟难以走出新冠疫情影响，可能遭遇数十年来最严重衰退的情况下，这样的损失无异于雪上加霜。
